My Father has Lung Cancer with a metastasized Brain Tumor. Any information would be very helpful.?He has been battling the lung tumor for about 2 years. Just it has grown to 8 cm. He is now going through Chemo to try and lessen it down. We just found out he has a 2.6 cm tumor in his upper lobe part of the brain. He will receive 15 consecutive radiation treatments for this. First question, is 2.6 cm tumor of the brain considered large? Second, has anyone had a akin encounter? What must we guess? Please, don?t ?sugar coat? your answers. I want the straight truth, even if it?s not excellent news. Thank you.

At this point it sounds like Palliative Care. (end if life care) All they can doubtless do is try to make him and your family as comfortable as things can be and as things progress. All you can guess is progression of these diseases.Im not sure if that is considered large but doubtless a excellent size and its not excellent at all that it is in his brain. Cancer is a terrible thing and is very sad and hard to deal with. Just try to be pleased with the time you will have

make an appointment and speak to his oncologist. Trust me, there are not many qualified and experienced person doctors in here, and none of us have access to your dad?s notes and scans.

Hi! I am not a physician but I had a special person in my life loose their body to Breast Cancer. That person doubtless lost thier body but not their spirit, I judge there is hope if you judge. God is the healer of all things, don?t get me incorrect God made doctors to. But what if doctors give up on you than what. Read the Psalm 23 out of the Holy Bible. Also you can go to a web site. www.Cancer behavior of america.com. I had that is a god facility as well. I will be praying for you and your family, God Like You and I do too. Dredge up you are not alone in this battle.

What is the expected life span of endometrial cancer which has metastasized to the lungs and brain? My mom has been diagnosed last May with endometrial cancer and underwent hysterectomy and radiation therapy. Just just, we found out that it has metastasized to the lungs and brain. It breaks our heart to see her endure much but at this time, there really is no cure unfilled. She is now undergoing palliative radiation treatments to help manage the pain. Just sought after to have an thought how much time we have left with her?

Sadly, anytime. Some people hang on for much longer than expected,
delight in your time now while she is not in pain.(I hope not)

Wow. This is rare and very awkward. We are sorry for you in this hard time.
Here?s data looking at people in akin situations from a 2003 Canadian study.
?Between January 1991 and March 2003, there were 1295 women referred to the London Regional Cancer Focal point with the diagnosis of endometrial cancer, and eight of these women (0.6%) developed brain metastases. Behavior and clinical outcomes were analyzed.
Three patients had no other evidence of complete disease, while five had disseminated disease. Four patients had a single brain metastasis, while four had manifold lesions. Seven patients received whole brain radiation therapy in addition to complete steroids, of which six had fleeting enhancement or pledge in symptoms. Norm survival later diagnosis of brain metastases was 3.5 months.?
This study of very nearly 1300 women with endometrial cancers found only 8 who developed brain involvement. I did not see a person like this in 20 years as a cancer specialist doctor. Their encounter with the 3 to 4 month survival is not a prediction ? since it is based on only 8 people.
Doctors can never predict survival months ahead of time. When it gets down to the last days, it is relatively simple for experienced person nurses and doctors to see the end coming ? but family members can see that too. You will know when things are headed downhill. Delight in the excellent time as much as doable.

Be long-suffering, but be sure you are being paid all the nutrients you need from food. My issue was not as brutal as yours, but I reckon it is valuable to keep a diet full of intense greens, like arugala and other bitter greens to help your body cleanse and deal with the treatments. Have you ever tried Miso soup? Observably rest as much as you can. Try soaking in magnesium baths , you know what I mean, like epsom salts. You may find that very relaxing and it is very refining. Excellent luck and I hope you feel wonderful very soon.

If cancer has metastasized into three uncommon areas, what is the chances of survival? My grandfather has cancer in three uncommon regions of the body. He has brain cancer, lung cancer and prostate cancer. What is the rate of survival for these cancers with intense behavior? What are the chances more cancerous cells will metastasize in his body even if there is a chance of survival?
I kind of figured that, his brain cancer was found first. That tumor is deadly and its the size of a egg. This tumor is located surrounded by the left hemisphere, near Wernicke?s area and is distressing his address. The most contemporary discovery is the spot on his lung, and I dont have much information on that one, and all I know from family is the conformation that he has prostate cancer. Three uncommon cancers. I?m sure there?s modest hope but I plotting I would try to get some more information. Its very nerve-racking not meaningful what to guess from this. THanks for the answer
Answer by Maria
Wow that?s a doozie. I am really really sorry about that. Based on the information you gave, I would say that his odds of survival are well under 10%. Of way I can?t be fastidious, as I am not given much information aside from where the cancer is. Even if he receives that most intense behavior out there he still doesn?t have much more than a prayer.

I?m so sorry about your grandfather
The same thing happened to my best supporter?s mom (my 2nd mom), only it ongoing as cervical and apply to her brain and lungs. She didn?t grasp she had cancer till the symptoms got sweet terrible, and after that she went into chemo sweet much immediately and after about a month she got better, then worse again. It was like a breaker coaster but after about 3months she voted for on. It all depends on the person.
Sadly the chances of it diffusion more (if it already has) are sweet high, but DON?T GET YOUR HOPES DOWN. There is still a chance b/c there are people who have survived with these types of nasty cancers and miracles happen every day. Keep faith, and prayers, and be there for him and that?s all you can do.
He?s in my prayers.
xoxo
Answer by Denisedds
It is very unlikely he has 3 uncommon cancers. He doubtless has prostate cancer that apply to his lungs and his brain. Even if prostate cancer commonly spreads to the bones first. It doesn?t topic which was found first it matters when it originated.
There is a affront likelihood it is two cancers.
Regardless of the fundamental site it is not curable, but if it is prostate cancer he will carry on longer than if it were a lung fundamental.
