Venezuela teenagers join Swiss club Young Boys

BERN, Switzerland (AP) -Venezuela internationals Alexander Gonzalez and Josef Martinez have joined Swiss club Young Boys from FC Caracas.

Young Boys says in a statement that both teens signed contracts which tie them to the Bern club until June 2016.

Gonzalez is a 19-year-old right back and Martinez, who's 18, is a forward.

Young Boys says both have played for Caracas in the Copa Libertadores, South America's elite club competition.

Gonzalez played for Venezuela at the 2011 Copa America.

Young Boys, coached by Christian Gross, is third in the 10-team Swiss League at the winter break.
